2017 Featured Breweries

March 17, 2017: Innovation Brewing

Innovation Brewing is a 7 barrel brewpub located in Sylva, NC. The brewery has been open since October of 2013 and specializes in creative and unique beers. They pride themselves on their quality and creativity. The brewpub has 32 of their own beers on tap year round as well as 2 local ciders and a house made organic ginger ale. They produce 12 mainstay ales that are traditional styles that you could expect to find in most brewpubs such as a blonde, porter, and brown. They always have a handful of IPAs on tap as well as seasonals. They like to incorporate fresh seasonal ingredients into our beers such as our summer peach jalapeno ale and our fall apple butter brown. They also have an extensive sour and barrel aged program going at the brewery where we produce different sour styles and farmhouse ales.

May 27, 2017: Boojum Brewing Company

Hailing from Waynesville, North Carolina, Boojum Brewing Co. has been brewing up bold and flavorful new beers since 2014. The brewery is named after a mythical mountain creature said to roam the Smoky Mountains, drinking and snatching up gemstones. With family ties to the Waynesville area, brother and sister owners Kelsie and Ben Baker hope that the beer scene will help generate interest in others to come to WNC. Boojum’s pub and taproom in Downtown Waynesville, just 10 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, has quickly become a hub of the local community. Boojum is currently in the midst of a major growth spurt that will allow them to triple their brewery’s production and their taproom’s capacity. Look for their beers around WNC, try their flagship King of the Mountain Double IPA, local favorite Reward Pale Ale, or one of the creative small batch brews at their taproom.
