Train and Rafting packages with Nantahala Outdoor Center and Wildwater Ltd. begin in April and are wonderful for the young and old. We are pleased to offer an expanded season for the very popular evening excursions, the Fontana Trestle and Whittier Sundown. Excursions operate during June, July and August. Exciting special events are scheduled throughout the year and include The Little Engine That Could - I Think I Can RAIL TOUR, Day Out With Thomas, Peanuts - The Great Pumpkin Patch Express, RAILFEST, Mountain Craft Fair, Fall Leaf Viewing trips, the Polar Express and Polar Express Dining Trains.
Passengers ride comfortable, refurbished coaches, crown coaches, club cars, dining cars, open cars and cabooses.
