What could be more fun than enjoying a ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad? Enjoying your trip with a group – and saving money! The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad is pleased to offer discount pricing to groups of 20 or more passengers for most excursions throughout the year, with advance purchase.
Bus Groups
For groups traveling by tour bus, we offer complimentary parking and a seat on the train for the driver. Entrance to one of the country’s top Lionel train museums, Smoky Mountain Trains, is included with most ticket purchases. Groups are asked to arrive one hour before departure to ensure your group has tickets and is ready to go before the conductor calls “All Aboard!” about 30 minutes prior to departure.
All adult groups consisting of passengers 21 years of age and over can select our First Class option for a top of the line experience with your meal included. These elegantly appointed coaches offer passengers a chance to feel truly special. Climate-controlled atmosphere, deluxe cushioned dining chairs, tables, large picture windows, and a dedicated car attendant. First Class seating also provides each passenger with a souvenir tumbler for you to refill with coffee or soft drinks while on board, as well as a special gift amenity. Select dates during some spring and summer months will offer First Class seating for families with children.

All excursions depart from the historic Bryson City depot on Everett St, and are round trip. We offer many options for your group and have knowledgeable staff dedicated to helping you with your group reservation. Please view our General Group Policies document for specific requirements and restrictions.
