river gorges in a spectacular region called The Great Smoky Mountains. This section of western North Carolina offers a wide array of ever changing vegetation and fantastic landscapes.
The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad is truly spectacular with 53 miles of track, two tunnels and 25 bridges. For a unique dining experience enjoy a romantic evening aboard the Gourmet Dinner Train departing every Saturday evening or participate in an entertaining and suspenseful performance aboard the Mystery Theatre Dinner Train departing on select Friday evenings May through September with additional departures in October and November. The Little Engine That Could. I Think I Can Rail Tour -
Departs from Bryson City! A full-size replica engine of the famous character created in the original book by Watty Piper, is coming to the Great Smoky Mountans Railroad. The Bryson Cit Depot will host train rides, characters from the book, games, musical entertainment, petting zoo, toy store and more!
May 16-18 & May 23 - 25, 2008 / $18.00 per person ages two and up.
