Nantahala Gorge Excursion
Departing Bryson City (4 1/2 hours, 44 mile round trip)
Depart Bryson City and travel to the Nantahala Outdoor Center and return. This magnificent trip offers highlights like the Horseshoe Curve, Fontana Lake Trestle, Little Tennessee River and the Nantahala River Gorge. Ticket price includes admission to the Smoky Mountain Trains Museum in Bryson City. You may enjoy the museum before or after the excursion. Carry on lunches allowed except June, July, August & October. |

The Polar Express™ First Class
Departing Bryson City on selected dates starting November 6th thru December 23rd.
The Polar Express comes to life when the train departs the Bryson City depot for a journey to our "North Pole". Guests on board will enjoy hot chocolate and treats while listening and reading along with the magical story. Experience the joy of watching the children's faces when the train arrives at our "North Pole," where Santa Claus will be waiting. Santa will board The Polar Express where he will greet each child and present them with a special memento. Holiday carols will be sung on the return trip to Bryson City. First Class seating includes a deluxe hot cocoa served in commerative ceramic mug,light snacks and seating in our club and dining car seating. $57 per person for adults and teens 13 and older. $40 per child over 24 months of age. $10 Children 24 months and younger. Mystery Theatre Dining Train
Departs Bryson City at 7 pm Saturday evenings for a three hour round-trip. May 16th thru September 26th / $104 per person (plus tax & gratuity) / 21 and older only / Dress code
The suspense builds as the plot thickens, all while you enjoy a lovely 3-course prime rib or stuffed chicken breast dinner. Trains depart from the historic Bryson City depot. This 4 hour, 32 mile round-trip travels along the Tuckasegee River, through the historic Cowee Tunnel, and past The Fugutive movie film site. Arrive in the quaint village of Dillsboro for a 1 1/2 hour layover for shopping and dining. Ticket price includes admission to the Smoky Mountain Trains Museum in Bryson City. Raft n' Rail™ - Follow-A-Guide with Wildwater Ltd.
April - September. Raft n' Rail Rafting Rates: $82 per adult and $65 per child (Follow-A-Guide). Departs Bryson City Depot. Open air seating.
Since 1988, this adventure combination has been a favorite for first-timers or seasoned paddlers. Travel by rail 22 miles along the foothills of the Smokies and up the Nantahala River Gorge. At the top-of-the-line join the professional team of Wildwater for a 2-hour whitewater trip down 8 miles of the Nantahala River. Picnic style lunches, complimentary hot beverages, changing rooms with hot showers and transportation back to the depot are all included. Join us for a full day of excitement experiencing two of the most popular activities in the Smokies. Fully Guided or Follow-A-Guide service is available. April – October. Children must weigh at least 60 lbs or be 7 years old. All seating is in open air cars. |

Two great ways to see the Nantahala River! NOC's Rapid Transit package includes a fully-guided whitewater raft trip and a thirty-mile scenic train ride. Enjoy breathtaking scenery and incredible river views as your train travels from Bryson City through the Nantahala Gorge and back to NOC. Watch the river antics of rafters and kayakers while you eat a tasty picnic lunch prepared by Slow Joe's Riverside Café. After lunch, raft eight miles of the family - friendly Nantahala. This full day excursion includes lunch, all equipment, and transportation back to Bryson City. Trip also includes a photo for each guest as they run the Nantahala Falls rapid! Peanuts™ - The Great Pumpkin Patch Express departs the Bryson City Depot on Fridays, October 2, 9, 16 & 23 at 3 pm. Saturdays, October 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, & 25 at 11:30 & 3:00 pm.
Meet Snoopy, Charlie Brown & Lucy and select your own pumpkin.
